Quiz: Eliminate a suspect who has an alibi
Hints: Eliminate a Suspect (Alibi)
Hint #1
Read the Golf Brochure carefully.
Hint #2
Examine the golf tee and the Evidence Collection Form. Who does the golf tee belong to? Match the fingerprint to the relevant suspect.
Hint #3
The Golf Brochure says that Desert Oasis golf gave away patriotic golf tees to goflers who teed off between 9AM-12PM on July 4th, 2022. A suspect has one of these tees (Evidence #8138—a golf tee with stars and stripes on it), so we can assume that suspect was at Desert Oasis golf on July 4th and teed off between 9AM to 12PM.
The Golf Brochure says the Desert Oasis course takes at least 4 hours to complete. Would a suspect be able to tee off at Desert Oasis golf between 9AM-12PM, finish their game, and make it back to Saguaro Sands in time to murder Evelyn? We know Evelyn was murdered between 2-2:10PM (see the Crime Scene Report).
If you're not sure, read the Events Schedule carefully.
Solution
The Events Schedule states that Desert Oasis golf is 1.5 hours away from Saguaro Sands. So, if a suspect golfed as early as possible (9AM), they wouldn't be able to finish their game and make it back to Saguaro Sands by 2:10PM (because the course takes a minimum of 4 hours). The suspect who owns the patriotic golf tee can be ruled out.
Walter's fingerprints match the fingerprint on the golf tee. Walter can be ruled out.
