From Part 1, we know Evelyn was killed in the library between 2:00 and 2:10 PM on July 4th, 2022. Where was Colleen at that time? Read her witness statement, then look at the 4th of July poster.

Look at the map of Saguaro Sands.
Hint #3
Colleen was in a patriotic ornament painting class at the lapidary on July 4th that started at 1:45pm and ended at 3:15pm. But how could she have killed Evelyn between 2:00 and 2:10 PM?
Examine the wooden ornament carefully. We know it's Colleen's. Does anything seem off about it compared to what you'd expect?
Solution
The ornament isn't painted. Colleen could have gone to the lapidary for the ornament painting class at 1:45 PM, gotten the ornament, and left shortly after the class started. The lapidary is right beside the library, so Colleen could have easily made it there by 2:00 PM to kill Evelyn.
