Examine the Saguaro Sands Newsletter carefully, especially the pictures in the parade section.

The Saguaro Sands Newsletter shows that the first residents who got to the parade got free flags. Diane said she was at the parade and got a free flag, but her flag does not look like the flags that were handed out at the parade (compare it to the picture of "Gary Holt" holding his flag in the Saguaro Sands Newsletter).

Diane lied about her alibi, and the two relevant pieces of evidence are the small American flag and the Saguaro Sands Newsletter.
