This suspect can be ruled out because of a physical impairment they had that prevented them from committing the crime. Read the crime scene report carefully.

The killer drove Evelyn's golf cart. Which suspect can't drive?
Solution
Evelyn's killer drove a golf cart, but Barbara can't drive due to an eye injury. We can rule Barbara out.
Hints: Suspect #2 (Lacked Means)
Hint #1
This suspect can be ruled out due to an immutable (unchanging) physical characteristic of theirs. Read the crime scene report very carefully.
Hint #2
All suspects are between 5'3" to 5'1" based on their witness statements. There isn't a witness statement for one witness though — Steve. Do you know what Steve looks like? If not, read the Saguaro Sands Newsletter carefully.
Hint #3
Examine the picture of Diane standing beside a man. The man in this picture is Steve (see the Saguaro Sands Newsletter — it's the same man as the man in the yoga pictures).

Hints: Suspect #3 (Lacked Means)
Hint #1
The murder weapon is a red lanyard. We know the killer owned the lanyard, because Evelyn was found wearing her own red lanyard (a different one).
Read the Resident Memo.
Hint #2
Read the Resident Database.
Solution
Diane can be ruled out. All residents who moved in after March 1st, 2022, received orange lanyards, not red ones. Diane moved in to Saguaro Sands on March 2nd, 2022, so she received an orange lanyard. Diane did not have access to the murder weapon (a red lanyard), so she isn't the killer.
*Also, there was two sources of DNA on the red lanyard — Evelyn's, and the killer's. We can assume the killer owned the red lanyard (as opposed to borrowing it from another resident) because they were the only other source of DNA on it (besides Evelyn).
Hints: Suspect #4 (Alibi for July 4th)
Hint #1
Read the golf brochure carefully.
Hint #2
The killer left a keychain, a red lanyard, and a receipt at the crime scene. We can assume these all belonged to the killer because of the DNA that was found on them (see the evidence collection reports and crime scene report — the lanyard, which was the murder weapon, had 2 sources of DNA: the victim's and (presumably) the killer's. The DNA on the keychain and receipt matched the unknown DNA (i.e. the killer's) from the lanyard.

Hint #3
On July 4th, 2022, Desert Oasis golf gave away patriotic golf tees to goflers who teed off between 9-12 PM. One suspect has one of these golf tees, so we can assume they were golfing on July 4th, 2022, between 9-12 PM (start time).
The brochure states that the course takes at least 4 hours to complete. Evelyn was murdered shortly after 2 PM. If a suspect golfed at 9AM, they could finish by 1pm. Would they have time to make it back to Saguaro Sands by 2 PM? If you're not sure, read the Events Schedule carefully.
Hint #4
The events schedule lists an event for June 8th, 2022 (Jewelry making at the Lapidary). The time overlaps with the pickleball tournament that we know the killer participated in. Could any suspects have participated in this workshop?
Solution
The Events Schedule states that Desert Oasis golf is 1.5 hours away from Saguaro Sands. So, even if a suspect golfed as early as possible (9AM), they wouldn't be able to make it back to Saguaro Sands by 2PM (because the course takes a minimum of 4 hours). The suspect who owns the patriotic golf tee can be ruled out.
Walter's fingerprints match the fingerprint on the golf tee. Walter can be ruled out.
Hints: Suspect #5 (Alibi—Not July 4th)
Hint #1
This suspect can be ruled out because they have an alibi that's related to the keychain (that was left at the crime scene).
If you're not sure who the keychain belongs to, examine the following pieces of evidence carefully: the evidence collection forms and the crime scene report.
Hint #2
The keychain is the killer's. The killer strangled Evelyn with a red lanyard. There were two DNA profiles on the lanyard: Evelyn's and the killer's. The same DNA profile (the killer's) was found on the keychain.

Hint #3
The website listed on the pickleball poster tells us that residents who participated in the June 8th, 2022, pickleball tournament got keychains. The keychain looks just like the keychain the killer dropped, so we can infer that the killer participated in the tournament. Do any suspects have alibis for June 8th, 2022?

The jewlery making workshop on June 8th, 2022, involved making turquoise pendants. Which suspect has an unfinished turquoise pendant?
Solution
Lorraine has an unfinished turquoise pendant (i.e. the "blue stone"), so we can infer she participated in the June 8th, 2022, workshop at the lapidary. Evelyn's killer was playing in the pickleball tournament at this time, so we can rule Lorraine out.
Hints: Suspect #6 (Alibi—Not July 4th)
Hint #1
Examine the receipt carefully. Whose receipt is it?
Hint #2
The receipt is the killer's. It had the same DNA on it as the lanyard (which had the killer's DNA). The receipt tells us that Evelyn's killer was purchasing lunch at the Saguaro Sands Cafeteria at 12:07 PM on July 22nd, 2022.
To figure out who has an alibi for this date, examine the Cat's Cradle brochure carefully.
Hint #3
The Cat's Cradle brochure lists a website (www.catscradlenonprofit.com). Make sure you explore it and look at the "Past Events" carefully.
Hint #4
Examine the large button/pin (see the Evidence Collection form). Who does it belong to? Read the "Identifying Information" carefully.
Hint #5
The large button/pin is a Cat's Cradle volunteer pin. The Cat's Cradle website says first-time volunteers from Saguaro Sands visited on June 22nd, 2022. So, if a suspect owns this pin, we can infer they visited for the first time on June 22nd, 2022 (and we'd be able to rule them out).
The evidence collection form says that AB negative blood was found on the pin.
Hint #6
There's a picture on Nuvo's website of Medina wearing the scrunchie. The scrunchie is Medina's.
Solution
The Blood Drive poster says Malcolm is the only resident at Saguaro Sands who has AB negative blood. The pin is Malcolm's, which means Malcolm volunteered at Cat's Cradle on June 22n, 2022, and couldn't have been purchasing food in the Cafeteria at Saguaro Sands, like Evelyn's killer was (see the receipt). We can rule Malcolm out.
